This weekend, TTÜ/Team Exel and Augur/A&A Kinnisvara played the first games of the semifinal tie.

The game played on Saturday was exiting and thrilling from the start till the end. Both teams had many chances. TTÜ/Team Exel took the lead, but Augur/A&A Kinnisvara had not given up yet. The last period started 3:3, but then Marco Takanen took the win 4-3 (2-0; 1-3; 1-0) for TTÜ/Team Exel.

Sunday`s match was totally different. There was a lot of goals and penalty minutes. Augur/A&A Kinnisvara got the better start to the match and scored 4 goals without an answer.
On the second period TTÜ got the game going but closer than 2 goals they never reached. In the last period, TTÜ did not take an advantage of powerplays and the final score was 5-9 (0-4; 2-1; 3-4) and the semifinal tie is all square.

In the last game of the main round, TTÜ/Team Exel crushed Saku Fortuna. After a long time, Anre Vooremaa ja Aki Päivinen. where back in the lineup.
The match ended 17:4 (5-2;8-1;4-2). The best player of the game was Carol Viiding.

TTÜ/Team Exel ended the main round with 10 wins and 4 losses and got 31 points.

TTÜ/Team Exel and Augur/ A&A Kinnisvara met on Sunday in TTÜ Sportshall. The lead was taken by Augur and despite the fact that TTÜ managed to equalize, the period was won by visitors 5:2. The second period was all TTÜ. They scored 4 goals without an answer. On the last period it looked like it was heading for extra time on 7:7 but then a minute from time, Augur scored the winning goal and the last one into an empty net. The ginal score was 7:9 for the home team.

In the match, played on Saturday evening, TTÜ/Team Exel visited EMÜ and won the encounter 7-4, even though falling behind 0-4 after the first period. On the 2nd period, the visitors got a grip and managed to pull back some goals. In the last period TTÜ/Team Exel clearly overplayed Tartu`s Eesti Maaülikool and won 7-4. TTÜ`s Kristjan Puu (3+1) was the top scorer.

TTÜ/Team Exe played a league match last weekend and got a big win against Automaailm/Fatpipe Team. Nearly all the players got some points to their personl account. The final score of the match was 17:3 (4-0;7-2;6-1).

Last weekend TTÜ/Team Exel played two league matches. On Saturday, Viimsi Kepp played the host in Viimsi. The game was fast paced and quite messy. Goals from Richard Eesmaa and saves from Erki Vään were the high moments of the game. Also the good debut from Aki Päivinen, who along side with Marco Takanen made a deadly duo. The final score was 11:4 for the visitors. The best player of TTÜ/Team Exel was Erki Vään.

On Sunday, TTÜ/Team Exel played Sparta Spordiselts. The lead was taken by TTÜ and kept on increasing.
The most remembered moment of the game was probably the red card given to Kristjan Puu.
The match ended 12:3 for TTÜ/Team Exel. The best player of the team was Marek Ulman.

TTÜ/Team Exel has 22 points and is currently on 2nd place in the standings. Jõgeva Tähe is 1 point clear but they have a game in hand.

Aki Päivinen has joined TTÜ/Team Exel for the rest of this season. Aki Päivinen started the season in SC Hyvninkää and in 7 matches scored 8 goals and gave 6 assists.

On Saturday, TTÜ/Team Exel won Spordiselts Sparta team 12:3. The game was quite boring and there was never a doubt in the winner. The best player was Kristjan Puu who scored 4 goals and gave 3 assists.

On Sunday, TTÜ/Team Exel lost to reigning champions Jõgeva Tähe. Even though TTÜ was in pole position on the last period, Jõgeva manage to take the game 6:4. The best player of the team was Marek Ulman.

From Saku Fortuna players Kristjan Puu, Siim Stokkeby, Madis Leisner, Kristo Lehiste and Carol Viiding have joined the team.. All of them have played the Estonian Premier league for years.
Additionally, Atte Lehtinen has joined TTÜ/Team Exel, who previously played in Tikkurilan Tiikerite in Finland..

The following players have left TTÜ/Team Exel Viljar Paulus, who joined Augur / A&A Kinnisvara. 3 times Estonian champion Mikko Kauppi moved to Saku Fortuna.
Also Endrik Arumägi, Marko Opikov, Timo Olesk and Juhan Tomingas.will not be playing in the team this season.

On Easters, TTÜ/Team Exel met Saku Fortuna in Kiili to play out this season bronze winners. TTÜ took a quick lead and the period was won 4:0. On the 2nd period, the lead was increased but at the end, 2 silly goals were let Saku to score The period ended 5:2 to TTÜ. In the last 20 minutes, TTÜ gameplan fell apart and Saku was in some point only 1 goal behind but TTÜ managed to keep the lead and score the last goal into the empty net. The final score was 8:6.
The best player of TTÜ/Team Exel was Anre Vooremaa, who scored 3 goals. 4 goals were scored by Richard Eesmaa and once Rene Bernard.

TTÜ/Team Exel lost a nervous match to the league leaders. Jõgeva Tähe took quickly a 2:0 lead, but Rene Bernard then opened the score also for TTÜ. This is how the first period ended. On the second period TTÜ/Team Exel even managed to take a 3:2, but Jõgeva players managed to level the score and take again the advantage. In the last period, the score was tied 6:6, but then TTÜ game plan fell apart. The final score was 6:12.

Roland has played previously 8 games for Estonia and scored 3 goals and given 2 assists.
WC is held in the Czech Republic in december.

On Saturday, TTÜ/Team Exel managed to win TÜ/Team Salming in a really hard game. At the beginning of the match, home team found themselves quickly 0:3 behind, but managed to win the period 4:3. The second period finished 6:6. In the last 20 minutes, TTÜ fixed the holes in the defence and won the game 9-7(4-3;2-3;3-1).
The best player of TTÜ/Team Exel was Roland Songisepp (1+1).

TTÜ/Team Exel played its first home game this season. The game was started well with 2 really quick goals. Saku Fortuna managed to level the score fast but after that TTÜ went on its way. The periods were won 6-3, 6-0, 3-2 and the final result was 15-5.
The most points were made by Anre Vooremaa (4+1) and Viljar Paulus (4+0)
The best player of TTÜ was Rain Odramaa (1+0).
TTÜ/Team Exel has now 3 wins out of 4 games - 9 points.

On Saturday, TTÜ/Team Exel played a match in Kristiine sportshall against the new comers SHK Kaleviga. TTÜ started the game well and took 2:0 lead. Then 2 goals was scored against TTÜ and the period ended 2:2. On the 2nd period, Kalev surprisingly even took a lead, but TTÜ equalized and went its own way. The last period was 1:1 and final score was 8:4. The best player of TTÜ/Team Exe was Anre Vooremaa.

On Sunday, TTÜ/Team Exel played against Augur/Team Hummel. Roland Songisepp gave an early lead to the visitors but Augur managed to level the score before the end of the 1st period. On the 2nd period, Augur added two more goals and took 3:1 lead to the final period. TTÜ/Team Exel managed to level the game,. but goals from Päid and Sõber won it for Augur. Final score 5:3. The best player of the team was Erlin Rand.

TTÜ/Team Exelil has now 6 points (2 wins and 1 loss ).

TTÜ/Team Exel winning start to the season

TTÜ/Team Exel won Jäneda today in a season opener played in Tapa. TTÜ had a short bench for the game but still managed to win Jäneda young players 13:1 (3-0; 6-1; 4-0).
The best player of TTÜ/Team Exel was Marek Ulman (3+2).

TTÜ/Team Exel has gone through some player changes.

Joined the team:
Tiit Tammeveskiand Marko Opikov played for Viskoosa SK previous seasons. In 2001, both players were members of U-19 national squad.
Marek Ulman, who last season was listed in reserve teamViimsi Kepp, is now back in first team.

Left the team:
Mika Heikkilä transfered back to Finnish league and will be playing for SC Takatolppa next season. Heikkilä won 3 gold medals in Estonian championships.
Also leaving TTÜ/Team Exel are Lukas Zdarsky and Robert Tarenõmm, who will be playing next season accordingly for Czech Extraleague TJ Znojmo and Estonian first league Viimsi Kepi lineups.
After a year apart, Risto Lall has taken over the head coach position again. He has won previously 2 gold medals with TTÜ.

The new season begins on September 27th. TTÜ/Team Exel will start defending its title which will not be easy. The first match of the season will be played in Tapa sportshall. Jäneda is the first team to be played.

Tallinn Cup 2008

From September 12th-14th, an international floorball tournament Tallinn Cup 2008 will take place in TTÜ Sportshall. Finland, Czech Republic, Latvia and Estonia will play for the trophy.

TTÜ/Team Exel is represented with 3 players in national team: Roland Songisepp, Madis Kass and Anrè Vooremaa.

Tickets to the games are available to buy through your home teams and 1 hour before the games in the sportshall.

Eurocup qualifications roundup

TTÜ/Team Exel patricipated in Eurocup qualification tournament in Bratislava and got the 5th place.

The first oppoent was Ares HC 94 (Hungary) and this game was managed to win 3:1. Anre Vooremaa scored 2 goals and Madis Kass added 1 goal.

Szarotka Nowy Targ (Poland) was played on the second day and the Polish team won the match 7:2. Marek Ulman scored both goals.

Latvijas Avize (Latvia) was the third team to play against. The final result was the same as a day before - 7:2. The goals were scored by Armen Kasparov and Marko Opikov.

On the 4th day, TTÜ played TVZ Vikings (Austria) and won 10:5. Erlin Rand scored 4 goals.

All togther, TTÜ/Team Exel scored 17 goals and concided 22 goals.
The penaltyminutes were equal: 32min-32min.


Eurocup 2008 qualifications

The groups for the Eurocup 2008 qualifications East zone have now been drawn. TTÜ/Team Exel is in a B group, where is also Ares HC 94 (Hun), Latvijas Avize (Lat) and KS Szarotka Nowy Targ (Pol). The group matches are held from Aug 27th-29th and are followed by playoffs.

TTÜ/Team Exel will take part in Eurocup qualifications which is held in Bratislava (Slovakia) on August 27th - 30th.
Bratislava is named as the East zone qualification and the teams who will play there are:
Nizhegorodets (Russia), TTÜ/Team Exel (Estonia), Latvijas Avize (Latvia), KS Szarotka Nowy Targ (Poland), VSK FTVS UK Bratislava (Slovakia), TVZ Wikings (Austria), Ares HC 94 (Ungari) ja SC Locomotive Kutaisi (Georgia).

The teams are divided into two groups and the winner of the tournament will advance to the Eurocup final round torunament.

On Saturday, the last game of the finals was played. In a game in Jõgeva, the home team took the lead, but on the 2nd period, Mika Heikkilä managed to level the score. in the last period, TTÜ/Team Exel was behind again, but goals from Richard Eesmaa and Juha Salo secured the win. The best player was Erki Vään. TTÜ/Team Exel won the last match 3:2 and retained the title.

Last weekend, 2 games where held as part of the finals. On Saturday, Jõgeva won TTÜ/Team Exel on home court. The game started as last time in Jõgeva. TTÜ/Team Exel took the lead on counter attack but failed to keep the lead. Jõgeva won the game 6:2 . TTÜ`s best player was Erlin Rand.

The first game of the finals was held in Jõgeva on Saturday between TTÜ/Team Exel and Jõgeva Tähe. TTÜ/Team Exel took the lead, but after the 2nd periond (lost 0:5), Tähe had pretty much the win. The match ended 2:7 and Jõgeva took the 1:0 lead in the finals. The best player of TTÜ was Veiko Tarvis.
The 2nd game of the finals was held in TTÜ Sportshall on Saturday and home team managed to take it. Final score 5:3 and the games are now level. The best player of TTÜ/Team Exel was Viljar Paulus who scored 2 goals.

On Saturday, in TTÜ Sportshall, TTÜ/Team Exel beat Saku Fortuna and took the lead in the semifinals. The match ended 4:2. The best player was Erki Vään.
The same teams met again on Sunday and TTÜ/Team Exel was 1:3 behind on the first period. On the 2nd period, TTÜ scored severals goals in couple of minutes and was up 7:3. Then Saku pulled back quickly and the period ended 7:6 to TTÜ/Team Exel. The game was tight till the end and final result was 8:6. The best player was Lukas Zdarsky.

TTÜ/Team Exel took on Jõgeva Tähe in TTÜ Sportshall on Sunday evening. TTÜ/Team Exel won the game and the final score was 11:5 (4-2; 3-2; 4-1). The victory tasted even better due to a fact that TTÜ scored 5 goals while Jõgeva had powerplay. In the beginning of the game, TTÜ goalkeeper Erki Vään also saved a penalty shot. The best player was Anre Vooremaa (3+1). With that win, TTÜ/Team Exel secured their 2nd place in the main season.

TTÜ/Team Exel played Jäneda SK team today. In a tough match, TTÜ/Team Exel managed to win 9:7. TTÜ always managed to go one goal up, but Jäneda always equalized. So the game went goal by goal and the first period ended 5:4. In the second period only one goal was scored and it was from TTÜ/Team Exel. In the last period TTÜ game plan fell apart and the score was in some point even 7:7, but in the end the game was still won. In TTÜ goal was Mikko Kauppi and the best player of the team was Lukas Zdarsky who scored his first goal in Estonian League.

TTÜ/Team Exel and Jõgeva Tähe met today in a match held in Jõgeva. Tähe took the lead quickly and was up 2:0 thanks to TTÜ mistakes. But then Veiko Tarvis and Marek Ulman scored goals in row and TTÜ/Team Exel won the period 3:2. The second period was also even and it ended 4:4. The last third belonged to Tähe who scored 3 goals and won the game 7:4. The best player of TTÜ/Team Exeli was Erki Vään.

TTÜ/Team Exel met Automaailm today in a match which was played in Kiili and won 10:7. TTÜ/Team Exel had the lead from the start and was up by three-four goals all the time. The best player of the team was Anre Vooremaa who scored 3 goals.

Today, TTÜ Sportshall was full on floorball players. This years University Championships took place. TTÜ I managed to win it in home ground. In the group matches, TTÜ won Tallinn University 3:0 and Audentes 4:1. In the semifinals, TTÜ played Tartu University and won 3:1. Very intresting was the final where TTÜ was against Public Service Academy. TTÜ was quicky behind 0:2 and this is how the first period ended. On the second period, TTÜ put in another gear and the result was superb. Opponents goal was fired really hard and goals started coming. Erlin Rand was the hero of the finals, scoring 3 goals and giving 1 assist. Final score was 4:2, which means that TTÜ is champions again after 3 years time. The best player of the tournament was Erlin Rand.

On Dec 15th, Estonian University Championships will take place in TTÜ Sportshall. Players of TTÜ/Team Exel will also participate as part of TTÜ I lineup.

First win for new named TTÜ/Team Exel

TTÜ/Team Exel won Augur 5-1 (2-0. 1-0, 2-1) today in a match in TTÜ Sportshall. For the first time this season, spectators were able to see Salo, Heikkilä and Karjalainen playing. The best player of TTÜ/Team Exel was Veiko Tarvis. This win rose the team in the 2nd place. TTÜ/Team Exel has 13 points.


Monkey Sport and TTÜ SK sign a partnership deal.

Estonian leading floorball equipment provider Monkey Sport International signed a 2 year sponsorsdeal with TTÜ SK. The contract is an addition to previous 2 year partnership and 2006/2007 Estonian Championship win.
The contract provides the team free Exeli equipment and also Hummel sportsbrand textile and shoes which are also provided by Minkey Sport. It means that TTÜ SK will play now on in Hummel clothing.
Exel in an official partner of IFF (International floorball federation) until 2010 and has been the marketlead throughout the World, being representer in 32 countries.
Hummel is a famous Denmark sports and leisuretime clothing manufacutrer since 1923 and as from this year representer in Estonia.
"Nothing else than Exel floorball gear is suitable for champions and we home that the name change will help to improve our results," said Mikko Iiskonmäki who is the manager of new TTÜ SK / Team Exel.
"It is our pleasure to support Estonian floorball as well as Estonian champion TTÜ Sportsclub," said Monkey Sport representative Meelis Lepikult. "This season we have invested in the development of the sport by supporting different junior teams and the teams from the 1st and 2nd league."

Today in a match held in the morning, TTÜ SK lost to Saku Fortuna 5:6. TTÜ SK took the lead and was up 5:2, but own mistakes and carelessness pulled Saku level. The winning goal froms Saku was shot in powerplay. This was the 3rd loss for TTÜ SK. The best player of the team was Anre Vooremaa.

TTÜ SK played 2 games last weekend. On Saturday, the match was against Tartu University and the game ended 6:6 draw. TTÜ took the lead and was up 4:1 and 5:2, but playing unspirited, lost the lead. Jõgeva Tähe managed to win a match which took place on Sunday evening in Tapa between TTÜ and Jõgeva Tähe. TTÜ SK took the lead on 3rd minute and it stayed as the obly TTÜ goal for a long time. On the first period; Tähe scored 5 goals and a big step towards the victory was taken. On the second period, TTÜ SK started chasing from behind and the teams played as equals. TTÜ managed to win the last periods 1:0 and 3:2, but still had to accept defeat 5:7. TTÜ received 14 penalty minutes. The best player of the team was Marek Ulman, who scored 3 goals. TTÜ Sk is still on the 2nd place in the table..

Changes in TTÜ SK team

This season, Risto Lall is no longer the head coach of TTÜ SK. Lall was the head coach for 4 years and won 2 gold and 2 silver medals from Estonian Championships during that time, also Estonian Cup gold and several other medals.Mika Heikkilä will take over the coaching position of TTÜ SK, but also contiues as a player.
Juhan Tomingas is one of the new players in TTÜ SK this season. Tomingas has played for TTÜ SK before, but last season he played for Jäneda SHK.
The second new player is Lukáš Žďárský. Žďárský is from Czech Republic and last year he played for SK Bivoj Litvinov.

TTÜ SK started the new season with a big win over Jäneda SHK. After the first period, the score was 3:2 to TTÜ SK and then TTÜ went its way. The final score was 14:2 (3-2; 6-0; 5-0). TTÜ played with limited amount of players and almost everyone scored some points. Robert Tarenõmm from the double team made his debut for TTÜ and gave 3 assists. In a match between TTÜ SK and CUF Leganes, the champion of Spain took an early lead. The also won the first period 4:2. In the second perio, TTÜ SK decreased the loss and the period ended 5:5. The end of the game was all TTÜ SK and the final result was 8:6 win. The best player was Juha Salo (6+1), Mika Heikkilä gave 5 assists.

Dvina-Remiks Sevmash won today`s match against TTÜ SK. TTÜ SK fell quickly behind but it was not over yet. Estonians fought back 3:3 draw. Then Russian champions drifted apart again when TTÜ SK played only with 3 men. From 3:6 behind TTÜ SK managed to pull it to 5:6 but couldn`t turn around the game. Russians scored more goals and the last one was into an empty goal. Final result 6:. TTÜ SK plays tomorrow CUF Leganes from Spain.

From 29th Aug to 2nd Sep, reigning Estonian champion TTÜ SK particiopates in EuroCup qualifications in Norway, where 7 teams in 2 groups try to proceed into the EuroCup finalround. TTÜ SK plays in the B group with Waterloo Lions (Belgium), DRS Archangelsk (Russia) and CUF Leganes (Spain). Only 2 teams advance from the group like it is in A group where are FB Agents (Holland), Fjerdingby IBK (Norway) and Cotswold Cobras (England).
The winner qualifies for EuroFloorball Cup finals which is played in January in Vantaa, Finland.

Today in Jõgeva, TTÜ SK met local Jõgeva SK Tähe II. TTÜ won the match 11:1. From TTÜ SK point of view, it was a very interesting game. Both of our goalkeepers were absent. Erki Vään is not currently in Estonia and Mikko Kauppi is ill. So Anre Vooremaa took the place as goalkeeper. After a long time, Viljar Paulus was back in the lineup and coach Risto Lall made his debut for TTÜ SK. Altough many doubted that TTÜ SK could win, the players gave super performance and beat the opponent in every aspect of the game. The best player of TTÜ SK was the goalkeeper Anre Vooremaa, who saved 38 shots.

Anre Vooremaa is the first player in Estonian league who has become the best player of the match as a field player and as a goalkeeper.

This season, Indrek Piibur and Argo Päid have transfered out of TTÜ SK.
Indrek Piibur continues his career in Sweden and for now he will be out of TTÜ SK until the end of this season. Hopfully we will see him back in TTÜ SK next season. Also transfered out from TTÜ SK is Argo Päid, who joins Pokkerituba.com team.

Estonian University Championships 2006

This weekend in TTÜ Sportshall, Estonian University Championships 2006 were held. TTÜ SK started the tournament well. At first, TTÜ SK won team Ketsid 4:1 and then KSK team 7:0. After that in semi finals, TTÜ SK was drawn against Audentes University which consisted of many finnish students. As the game at final whistle was a draw, shoot-out followed. TTÜ SK had lost 3 brevious shoot-outs this year, but this time they won. Goals were scored by Rene Bernard and Risto Lall.
In the finals, TTÜ SK was against TÜ and lost the game 0:3.
Playin for TTÜ SK: Mikko Iiskonmäki, Risto Lall, Rene Bernard, Armen Kasparov, Marat Kasparov, Erki Vään, Raivo Lõkk, Erlin Rand, Kert Haavistu, Richard Eesmaa, Endrik Arumägi and Robert Tarenõmm.

Two times world champion Esa Karjalainen in TTÜ SK squad

Swedish national team` long time defender, currently living in Finland, Esa Karjalainen continues his floorball career in Estonia, in last year`s silver TTÜ SK floorball team. Karjalainen will be the first Swedish player in Estonian Premier League.
"Esa is expected to strengthen our defence, but he can be a big help in offence too" says TTÜ SK manager Mikko Iiskonmäki. Esa Karjalainen, who has played 73 matches for Swedish national team, has a very powerful and accurate slapshot. Karjalainen is very experienced player, he is 2 times World champion with Sweden, once a European champion, 5 times Swedish champion and 3 times Finnish champion. In spring 2007 he can become Estonian champion.
Karjalainen playes his first game for TTÜ SK against Pokkerituba.com. The match takes place on Nov 18, Saturday in Viimsi School Sportshall at 16.15.

This year, many players have left TTÜ SK floorball team. Goalkeeper Tarmo Lai moved to Saku Fortuuna. Peeter Dodjak misses out the whole season due to a injury. Argo Päid will also be missing from TTÜ SK lineup. He probably will be a member of some other higher league. More information soon on TTÜ SK webpage. Leaving TTÜ SK is also Andres Aamisepp who returned to his farm club Jäneda SK. Markus Laakso and Juha Peuraniemi are out of TTÜ. Markus Laakso returned to Finland and Juha Peuraniemi retired.

Jõgeva Cup 2006

Another Jõgeva Cup began today in "Virtus" sportshall and in TTÜ SK point of view it was full of thrilling matches.
TTÜ SK first match was against Rubene from Latvia. In the beginning of the match, TTÜ SK took quickly 2:0 lead, which soon was played down. In the middle of the match TTÜ SK in one point was even behind with a goal, but still managed to bring the victory home. In 5:5 Roland Songisepp scored the decisive goal and goal into an empty net by Indrek Piibur sealed the victory.
Final result 7:5.
TTÜ SK match was against Eesti U19 and after being 0:3 behind, TTÜ SK fought a 3:3 draw.
TTÜ SK played its last game of the day against Augru/Rangers. The halftime score was 2:2, but at the end, Rangers went their way and TTÜ SK lost 2:5
Tomorrow, TTÜ SK plays against TÜ Akad. SK. The match begins at 10.00

On the 11th and 12th of November in Jõgeva, already 11th international tournament Jõgeva Cup is being held. This year, teams from Estonia, Latvia and Finland are participating. VKTP(Fin) tries to reclaim the trophy which they won last year. Last year, TTÜ SK won 3rd place. Local Tähe I and TTÜ SK from Tallinn, met today at noon in Jõgeva. The first half of the game was under TTÜ SK` control and took 4:0 lead. A winning start to a season

On Saturday night, TTÜ SK met Jäneda SK and got a tough 6:4 victory. On the first period, home team took a lead of 1:0, but after a catastrophic second period, TTÜ SK was behind with scoreline of 2:3. On the third period, Jäneda SK scored another goal and the situation for TTÜ was bad. 10 minutes before the end Veiko Tarvis made the score 3:4 which was followed by Erlin Rand`s and Indrek Piibur`s goals and one Jäneda owngoal and the final result was 6:4 for TTÜ SK.

Estonian Company Sport Championships 2006

On the 4th of June, Estonian Company Sport Championships 2006 took place in Tapa. A number of TTÜ SK players participated in various teams` lineups.

The tournament was won by Põhja-Eesti Päästekeskus, who beat Monkey Sport in the final 8:2. Tarmo Lai, the goalkeeper of TTÜ SK, became the champion while playing in the Põhja-Eesti Päästekeskus` winning team. Elion was 4th, Bizpak was 10th.

TTÜ SK could not defend their title

Yesterday in Kristiine Spordihall, the 2nd game of Estonian floorball Championships took place where TTÜ SK couldn`t not won Jõgeva Tähe SK I team and has to accept silvermedals. Jõgeva took the lead, but at the end of the 1st period, the score was 1:1. At the beginning of the second period, TTÜ SK managed to take a lead of 3:2, but the lead melted soon. The final score of the game was 10:5.
Roland Songisepp of TTÜ SK got one star.

This Sunday, TTÜ SK started defending their title in Jõgeva. Opponent was local Jõgeva Tähe I who managed to beat Tartu University in semifinals. TTÜ SK took the lead thanks to a goal by Anre Vooremaa and was ahead most of the game. On the 52nd minute, Jõgeva levelled the score 3:3. With that score the game ended and extra time followed. The score didn`t change. The game finally ended with shoot outs in which Jõgeva was better.
Veiko Tarvis got 2 stars.

TTÜ SK floorball team has reached the finals four years in a row. This year they are defending last year`s title. The most resultive player of the preliminary round is Mika Heikkilä of TTÜ SK with 19+16=35 points. Anre Vooremaal has 15+18=33 and is on the second place on the ranking. TTÜ SK scored altogether 161 goals and let in 73 goals itself.
Tarmo Lai had the best saveing persentage of 87.8 and with that he was third in the table.
Argo Päid got altogether 22 penalty minutes and this is more than any other TTÜ SK player.
The most stars were awarded to Anre Vooremaa (13 games), Mika Heikkilä (8 games) and Juha Salo (7 games) - all 7 stars.
In the 1994-2006 (march) overall ranking, Anre Vooremaa is the highest TTÜ SK player with 94+65=159. It gives him 9th place.

A loss to Latvian champion

In a match, held in Koceni against Latvian champion Rubene, did not offer a great deal of joy.
In a game where TTÜ tried many gameplays, they lost the first period 0:6, the second 0:9 and the third 0:9. After the game took place a shootout competition, where TTÜ SK and Rubene drew 4:4. The scorers for TTÜ were Marek Ulman (twice), Endrik Arumägi and Viljar Paulus.
The Latvians admitted that they were a little disapointed that TTÜ SK wasn`t in their full line-up and goals came little to easy for them.
The best player from TTÜ SK was Marek Ulman. In March, the two sides will meet again in Tallinn.

On Saturday, TTÜ SK took a trip to Jõgeva to play against the Estonian Championship leader, Jõgeva SK Tähe I. The game ended with victory for Jõgeva 6:3. The best player of TTÜ SK was Anre Vooremaa. Today, TTÜ SK was against the second team of Jõgeva and had to admit yet another defeat. On the last minute of the game, Tähe II managed to score a winning goal from a bullit for the result 7:6. TTÜ SK didn`t get any stars. TTÜ SK has now 7 victories and 3 losses and is still on the second place in the table.

On the 14th of January, TTÜ SK was against TÜ/ISIC and won the match with high score of 14:5. The best player of the game was Anre Vooremaa. On Sunday, TTÜ SK played with Saku Fortuna and the score was unbelievebly 27:1. The man of the match was Juha Peuraniemi who earned more than 10 points and reached the 100 points line in overall Estonian Championship campaigne. TTÜ SK is on the second place in the table.

On upcoming weekend, TTÜ SK will play in TÜ/ISIC and Saku Fortuna in Master League games. On Saturday, TTÜ SK takes on TÜ/ISIC. The match begins at 18.00 in Kristiine Sportshall. On Sunday, TTÜ SK is against Saku Fortuna. The match begins at 13.00.

Estonian Championships` last game of the 1st round

On the 8th of January, a match in Kristiine Sportshall, TTÜ SK won Tartu Ülikool/ISIC 10:4. The best player of the match was Juha Salo (4 goals). TTÜ SK has 5 victories and 1 loss and is currently on the second spot in the table.

Today, in a leaders` game between TTÜ SK and Jõgeva Tähe SK I in Kiili, the match was won by Jõgeva Tähe 5:2. TTÜ SK managed to create a lot of opportunities, but failed to score. Goals for the team from Tallinn were scored by Andres Aamisepp ja Indrek Piibur. The best player of the match was Martin Karis from Jõgeva. TTÜ SK players did not get any stars. Roland Songisepp and Markus Laakso made their first appearence in this year`s league competition.
Tomorrow in Tallinn, TTÜ SK faces Tartu Ülikool/ISIC .


Estonian Championships 4th stage

The reigning Estonian Champion TTÜ SK and last year`s silver medalist will meet on the 7th of January in Kiili Sportshall. The match begins at 15.45. TTÜ SK has won the last 3 matches played against eachother, but Jõgeva SK Tähe last season won the group stage. Both teams have changed a lot compared with last year`s lineups and in they meet in Estonian Championships this season for the first time. The winner of the match will also be the leader of the league.
On the next day, TTÜ SK faces last year`s bronze Tartu University/ISIC. The match begins at 13.00 in Kristiine Sportshall.

New players

2 new players have joined TTÜ SK floorball team. From Jõgeva Sportsclub Tähe has come Roland Songisepp (born 1983). Songisepp has become Estonian Champion and Cup winner several times. Also he has been in Estonian u-19 squad and Estonian Men´s team.
The second new player is Markus Laakso, who also is the new assistant coach. Markus Laaksoo`s last team was Pave (Fin). Laakso was a member of TTÜ SK during 2000-2002.

On Saturday, 17th of Decembre, TTÜ SK managed to beat local club Jõgeva Tähe II 7:4 in their home arena. The best player was Andres Aamisepp. TTÜ SK is continues being on the winning streak and has won now all 4 league games.

Estonian University Championships 2005

On the 11th of Decembre, TTÜ SK participated in Estonian University Championships and won a silver medal, losing in the final to Tartu Ülikool 2:3. The bronze belongs to TTK who beat Sisekaitseakadeemia after normal was a tie.
The silver medal was won by Endrik Arumägi, Armen Kasparov, Mikko Iiskonmäki, Mikko Kauppi, Richard Eesmaa, Erlin Rand, Rene Bernard, Kert Haavistu adn Rain Odramaa.

This Sunday, another University Championship tournament in floorball will be held in TTÜ Sportshall. TTK starts defending their title. Games begin at 10.00 and the final starts at 16.30. TTÜ SK is drawn into one group with IT Kolledži, Tartu Lennukolledži and Tartu Ülikooli teams.

Estonian Championship 2nd stage

Today in Estonian Championship 2nd stage game, TTÜ SK beat Saku Fortuna 16:3 in Kristiine Sportshall. The first period ended with 1:0 lead to TTÜ SK but in the beginning of the second period, TTÜ SK scored quickly many goals. The best player of the game was Mika Heikkilä. TTÜ SK has won 3 games out of three and is still the league leader.

In Estonian Championship 1st stage second game, TTÜ SK managed to beat Viskoosa SK in a very open game with the result of 13:10. The man of the match was Anre Vooremaa who scored 4 goals. Other goals were scored by Andres Aamisepp, Indrek Piibur, Juha Peuraniemi, Viljar Paulus, Juha Salo and Endrik Arumägi. TTÜ SK now has maximum points, 2 wins out of 2. Next stage is in two weeks time.

TTÜ SK played its first match on the season against last years`s 4th place owners Citroen. TTÜ SK won 10:1. In a hot tempered game, the man of the match was TTÜ SK`s Erlin Rand. Goals were scored by Richard Eesmaa(3), Erlin Rand, Madis Kass, Veiko Tarvis, Marek Ulman, Andres Aamisepp, Peeter Dodjak, Anre Vooremaa and Armen Kasparov. In a nasty incident of the game, a player from Citroen got a red card and he has to serve a match ban. Tommorrow, TTÜ SK playes against Viskoos SK.

New Players

Viljar Paulus (born 1984) and Peter Dodjak (born 1984) have joined TTÜ SK for upcoming season. Both were members of Estonian U-19 squad which got 10th place in 2001 WC .
Also a new member in TTÜ SK team is Andres Aamisepp (born 1988), who played last year for Jõgeva Tähe II team. Andres Aamisepp has reared from Jäneda floorball team and he was part of the U-19 squad which participated in WC in Latvia.

Jõgeva Cup 2005

From 12th to 13th of November, TTÜ SK took part in Jõgeva Cup 2005 and got 3rd place. In the first match TTÜ SK played against Jõgeva Tähe II and won 11:3. In the second group match, TTÜ SK lost VKTP 0:5. Next day, in the semifinals, the boys from Tallinn lost in a close match to Latvijas Avize 2:3. In the Bronze match, TTÜ SK managed to beat Tartu University 3:2 and won 3rd place. The best defender of our team was Richard Eesmaa and best attacker was Argo Päid. In the finals, VKTP won Latvijas Avize 5:4.

Estonian U-19 national team got 11th place in WC held in Latvia and continues in B-divison.

This weekend, TTÜ SK took part in Estonian Cup 2005. In the first game, TTÜ SK was against Kalev and won 11:1. The top pointmakers were Argo Päid and Veiko Tarvis. In the next game, TTÜ SK was against Tartu University. The normal time was level and extra time too (2:2). In shoot outs, Richard Eesmaa and Argo Päid managed to win it for TTÜ SK. In the final, TTÜ SK was against JSK Tähe I. After staying behind 0:2, TTÜ SK won the match 5:2 and became Estonian Cup winner for the first time . In the final game, Argo Päid and Viljar Paulus both scored twice and one was from Richard Eesmaa.

On Saturday, 22nd of October, Estonian Cup 2005 is held in Jõgeva. TTÜ SK plays Kalev at 11.10. The tournament ise held in play-off system and only winners goes on to next round.

This year there will be 15 teams taking part in Estonan Cup. Five premierleague teams who have agreed to take part in will automaticly qualify for the final round. Others must play preliminary round which are held this Saturday in Tapa and Viimsi.
The final round is held in Jõgeva on the 22nd of October. Last year TTÜ SK lost to Jõgeva Tähe and got 2nd place.


U-19 World Championships

From 25th-30th October 3rd World Championships will be held in Cesis and Kocenu, Latvia. Estonia is in B-division and drawn into the same group with Japan, Slovakia and Germany.

TTÜ SK player transfers to other clubs

Next year in the TTÜ SK floorball team there will not be two finnish players Samuli Takanen and Tommi Hiltunen. Samuli Takanen joined Finnish team RSS Laaka and Tommi Hiltunen will be playing for Tuupovaaran Urheilijat. Kristjan Puu will also be playing in Finland next year. His new team is SalPa.
